With over 100 comedy shows in all the major cities and three Netflix comedy specials under his belt, Vir Das is undoubtedly one of the biggest comedians of India. Vir took his first step into the comedy scene during his bachelor’s at Knox College, Illinois with his first special, ‘Brown Men Can’t Hump’ at Knox’s Harbach Theatre. He debuted in India with six comedy specials written, directed by and starring him at Habitat Center, New Delhi. These include Who Let the Das Out?, Son of a Switch!, VIRagra, Not for Members Only, and more. He became the first Indian Comedian to make a comedy special for Netflix with 'Abroad Understanding' in April 2017. Since then he has released two more comedy specials titled ‘Losing It’, and ‘For India’ as well as a dark comedy web-series ‘Hasmukh’ on Netflix. True to his name, Vir is very brave in choosing his set themes and many of his acts dwell on risqué topics of politics and racism but also some generic topics like movies, celebrities, parenting and more. He is widely acknowledged for his relatable talks about “middle-class brown parents”. And let’s not forget his brilliantly farcical acting in movies like Go Goa Gone and Delhi Belly .
